Thank you everyone for making the 2012 Bowl-A-Thon a success! The shelter raised over $4,000.00 during this event, making it the best one ever. We could not do it without all of the sponsors and bowlers. A special Thank You to Pla-Mor Lanes for hosting the event.
2012 Sponsors: Watertown Savings, Carthage Savings and Loan, North Country Animal Health Center, Jojo’s Purrs-n-Paws Pet Service, Regional Medical Management, Watertown Concrete, Cheney Tire, Universe Cellular & Dish
INTERESTED IN HELPING THE SHELTER?
The most direct way to help is by donating your time or by donating financially. It’s easy to become a member. Simply print off the application & then send it with a check to the address listed on the application. Or if you prefer, you can always stop into the shelter with your application or call us with a credit card. Due to the lack of a volunteer coordinator and the large number of applications we receive for volunteering, we are holding open orientations every other Weds night at 6:30 p.m. at the shelter. Please download & fill out a volunteer application & then just bring it with you on any Tuesday morning when you are able to help out at the shelter. If you can’t come in on a Tuesday, please call the shelter to arrange a different time for orientation. Our minimum age requirement for volunteers is 16 years old. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must authorize your ability to volunteer and sign a liability waiver. If you are under 16, you can still volunteer, but a parent or guardian must be with you at the shelter at all times. We also need volunteers to help with special events & fundraising. If you would like to help with duties not directly related to the feeding and cleaning of our animals, please fill out our volunteer application and either drop it off at the shelter or email it to Doug Marlow at email@example.com or Gina Wirth at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please just note on the application that you are interested in helping with special events!
